Who we are
Nathan Lopez is a writer, filmmaker, and a storyteller drawn to the darker corners of imagination and human experience. His Work is inspired by lifelong love of cinema and literature, particularly gothic fiction, American literature, Mythology, and World Literature. Authors such as Stephen Crane, Robert Louise Stevenson, Lafcadio Hearn, Ihara Saikaku, Edgar Allen Poe, Alan Moore, and many more have influenced much of Nathan’s own writing.
Through short stories, film projects, and critical analysis, Nathan explores the emotional and psychological depth that storytelling reveals. He is fascinated how stories - whether on the page or on screen- can transform ordinary moments into something haunting, beautiful, or deeply human. Which may critique society and have the viewers rethink social norms or beliefs. These stories intrigues Nathan because they help him understand the world and see it in a new lens, outside his perspective.
Beyond writing and filmmaking, Nathan is also a guitarist who enjoys experimenting with sound as it is a separate outlet for his creativity. For him, storytelling is not confined to one medium, it is a way of exploring ideas, emotions, and imagination across film, literature, and music.
This space serves as a collection of those explorations: stories, scripts, films, and reflections on the art of storytelling. Offering a glimpse into a creative voice shaped by curiosity, imagination, and a lifelong love of telling stories.
